Pancakes, Can we ever get enough??

Recently Iwas looking through pictures and discovered how much I love pancakes and waffles.  I do a lot of them and frequently I see comercials on TV and gag at all the white flour glue cakes they advertise.  What is the big deal about pancakes anyway?  They are wonderful and fluffly and sweet, just the things we crave.  But they can be healthy and wonderful and fluffy and sweet and be the perfect way to start the day.  I am a committed father in getting up early and cooking breakfast for my family.   I believe strongly in a healthy start to the day.  And I am so tired of hearing all the excuses to way we feed our families junk to start the day.  The biggest I think is that we have convinced ourselves that we do not have the time to fix a hot breakfast.  Give me a break,  pancakes from scratch take maybe 2 minutes to mix and with a hot griddle we can have a great breakfast in minutes and the waffle iron is just as easy to heat up, so the excuse of no time is just a cop out.  We make time for the things that really matter.

Pancakes can be creative and exciting.  From one recipe we can do many things.  This blog is a picture tour of my adventures in pancakes and waffles.  I love them and can think of no better way to start the day out.  Enjoy the tour.  Chef Brad~America's Grain Guy

Crispy Waffles.  Waffles are wonderful,  I like mine crispy.

A sprinkle of almond and cinnamon sugar really make these pancakes a treat.

My boys favorite.  Extra large pancake stuffed with fried eggs and bacon.  WOW.

Pancakes are simple and lovely.

I love butter on mine.

The perfect pancake, turn when they start to bubble.

Pancakes stuffed and rolled in cnnamon and sugar.

I love pancakes topped with fruit.  These are whole grain breaded peaches sauteed in coconut oil.

I love adding grians to my mix.  Quinoa and Chia seeds are great.

Grains in the waffles only make them taste better and your body will love it.

Potatoes added to pancakes make them wonderful.

Waffles topped with fruit makes my family feel special.

 Picture perfect.

This is left over pancakes,  dipped in egg and breaded and pan fried.  WOW

And who does not love berries in the pancakes.

The End.
